Sympathy cards are always difficult to make, and this one is pretty gloomy; but it does depict my sadness at the loss of a sweet friend and neighbor.
This card is for Lydia's challenge to make a one-layer card. I masked the moon, blended the sky color, then ink-blended the moon's craters. Finally I stamped the trees and sentiment.

This is beautiful, Barbara! I love the trees silhouetted against the oversized moon! I think it is just the right amount of sad. I am so sorry that you have lost a friend, but you channeled that grief into a masterpiece.
