WT896 ~ Blooms in a Jar

Poster: sistersandie

Punched the borders, adding orange trim to a small white panel. Stamped and hand cut the jar in vellum - sponging a little blue for water - and cut another in white card. Sandwiched some green stems between them and secured to the card front. Die cut lots of flowers, gluing together opposite colours. For foliage I stamped the tiny flower stamps from the Silhouette Sentiments, adding a few very thin leaves after securing the flowers in place. Popped a green gem in the flower centres. I know it's *very* bright - my elderly aunt likes bright colours and this is her card for next week!

Lovely bright blooms for your Mason jar...your aunt will love this. I like how you carried the orange color onto the side borders.

LOL, we did pretty much the same with our layering - I think it's a perfect look for jars. And your posy is so pretty. I do love the look of combined stamping and die-cuts.

I saw your comment about drinking cocktails from jars. I've seen that, but I find it hard to wrap my head around it. I like glasses for drinking from. And DH being fussy, we have some very fancy polycarbonate wine glasses for camping that look like cut crystal. To me they still feel like plastic, but he's happier drinking from those than a regular glass.
