First of all, I'd like a moment of silence as I do believe my heat embossing tool has given up the ghost. It's the only one I've ever owned, I've become quite attached to it. I don't even know the brand because the name has rubbed off. Sigh.
Second of all, I used stash pieces, gel prints, no idea what I did. Always a mystery. I'm pretty sure there are alcohol inks and acrylic paint.
LIST: colors-pink, white, a little green;techniques-coloring, diecutting/punching hearts, stamping (not sure exactly, not listed); elements-striped, gingham and solid dp, flowers, ribbon, two part layout divided by ribbon
INCLUDE: pink and white, stamping, flowers, two part layout
MODIFY: twine instead of ribbon; heat embossing; addition of purple and other colors; fussy cutting instead of dies/punches; stash pieces instead of dp
EXCLUDE: green, stripes, hearts, dp
SPIN: square card, grunginess, sentiment added, addition of purple etc.
I hope I did that right. Vicky's card is very sweet and proper; mine is kind of a grungy mess. I chose three pieces from my stash: two gel prints in similar colors and one that was a small piece of some kind of smooshed pink ink. I liked her two part card, top and bottom with the ribbon in between so I stayed pretty true to that. I thought the Ellen flowers that I fussy cut looked a lot like her cluster of flowers at the top. I moved mine over and included a sentiment from the Picket Fence set.
Enjoy your week, Vicky. I didn't realize how faithful you are to the tea party challenges until now. Thanks for the inspiration and thanks, Kittie.

LOVE every detail here! I did pause for a moment to mourn the loss of your beloved tool. mine kicked the bucket several years ago and my ‘cross the River neighbor and fellow SCS’er (Lori:ArtzadoniStudio) gave me one from her amazing stash.
Nice take on Vickey’s card.

I, too, am sorry for your loss. Speaking of loss, I no longer have that cute heart border punch used for my card and I miss it. Love your take on my card. The layout, swirly flowers and colours are evident. You are so creative and free flowing and I often wish I was like that.

I love how you have some perfectly echoed the flowers in the original card, but made this so uniquely you at the same time with your fun backgrounds.

This is lovely and that sentiment is awesome. I love all the "rolled" flowers and yours do remind me of the ones on Vicky's card. LOVE your gel prints and how the embossed images look against your "grungy mess". It's grungy Gorgeous.
