 | | Congratulations to vickydee as our Featured Stamper this week - FS794.
I found great inspiration in her Gallery and selected Keep on Rolling by vickydee at Splitcoaststampers to case for the Challenge because of (1) my nostalgic affection for the VW bus of my childhood PLUS (2) the many years of lakeside camping with my DH. Nowadays we camp at a hotel!
My bus is parked (not mobile like the one Vicky made). I added etching so it would look more like the camp images, and placed it in the background (rather than foreground) due to comparative size and scale. After deciding to pop-up the tent, I stamped just the bottom detail again on the background and then adhered the tent to fit over the stakes and ties.
I tried adding clouds by cutting away some of the blue and letting the card base show through. I should have stamped the water before adding the cutouts (oh well). I tried to fill in with marker but they are never the exact color as the pads. This definitely is a card I would not have made without the weekly Challenge, and I love it (so thanks vickydee)!
