This anniversary card was made for a sketch challenge that had the optional part to use pastel colors.
When I saw the challenge parameters my mind immediately turned to the beautiful Stampin' Up! (SU) "Magnolia Lane" designer series paper with it's soft pinks. My New Years resolution for 2022 was to use more pattern papers in my card designs, so this was a perfect opportunity to live up to that promise!
I die cut the scalloped edge of the pink matting for the floral pattern, as well as the pretty white label for the sentiment from the SU "Pierced Blooms" die set. The sentiment itself is from the retired SU "Beautiful Bouquet" stamp set.
The single magnolia bloom was fussy cut from the back of the pattern paper I had used for the pink floral panel. I used 1/16" thick foam tape behind the label, and then 1/8" thick foam tape behind the magnolia to raise it up for added dimension.
I am rating the difficulty level for this card as a "2" out of a possible "5", so it's the perfect project for someone relatively new to card making.
