This is for FS791 and Kristine Breach aka KristineB is our featured artist this week. Congratulations, Kristine. You have such a lovely gallery. I browsed and browsed and finally settled on your D2D Harvest Apples by KristineB at Splitcoaststampers.
I was inspired by your basket of apples on this card but also by all of the fun dimensional cards in your gallery. I kept the apple basket theme but changed the layout to an open window scene card with doubled sided frames. I kept the same basic color combination but enhanced the apple basket with die cuts to create a scene that draws the eye from the front of the card to the apple tree in the background. I made the apple basket double sided so it looked finished on both sides of the window.
I created another open window card for my blog back in the fall with a video tutorial showing all the steps for making this kind of framed window. You can find the link here: How to Assemble Double Sided Die Cuts.

You picked a really boldly made card, and made it your own!! Beautiful inside and out, Kittie!

Wow, Kitty. Another stunning creation. I agree with Anita that you put much time and love into these little masterpieces. I sure hope this card goes to someone very very special because it is a special card, for sure. Gorgeous.

I had to look at this a minute to realize the scene is inside the card - I thought the bird's beak was stuck in the card straight on! What a beautiful apple garden scene!

This is fantastic, Kittie! I don't know how you work w/ such tiny little details on a daily basis. I go blind & get so frustrated most of the time, lol. The colors are just wonderful.
