This is my sample for the Color Challenge hosted by Karen. I was inspired by her amazing color combo with dessert option of any fourth color. I chose green. I also used a neutral with a Smokey Slate card base.
Recently when I turned my calendar to March, I was greeted by a page of beautiful tulips in these colors! I was moved to use my beloved Terrific Tulips two-step stamp set for my card. I stamped the 1st step in Mango Melody and the 2nd step in Flirty Flamingo. The 1st step of the stem & leaf were stamped in Granny Apple Green and the 2nd step to fill in the leaf was the same color stamped off.
The Pale Papaya was used for the mat, ribbon and jewels. I applied Wink of Stella to the tulips. I had the Smokey Slate (neutral) card base already sponged with a little white paint from a previous project. It seemed to be a wonderful complement to the tulips.
I cannot wait to see how everyone uses these fabulous colors and what your fourth color choice will be! TFL

the tulips are so pretty - so perfect for a Spring or Easter card - interesting how the flirty flamingo takes on a different look with these colors- I paired mine with pale papaya

Those tulips are beautiful, Diane! They look hand-painted, and I love the way you used the colors on them. I especially love the gray base card with the white sponged white paint!

This is gorgeous, Diane. the minute I saw it I kicked myself again for not keeping that set when we moved house a couiple of years ago - ugh! I used that set SO much and I guess I thought I didn't "need" it anymore. Big mistake because it's just one of those classic floral sets that you can't go wrong with!
So, your tulips are so lovely in these wonderful colors and I absolutely love the look of the white paint smudged gray card base layer. Just outstanding and faved!
