I love dragonflies almost as much as butterflies and have nearly as many stamps of them. Luckily, this week's Featured Stamper, Deb Mauch, who has a fabulous array of cards to inspire, loves them too. She has many beautiful cards featuring dragonflies, but I finally chose this dreamy card because I just love the background and how it showcases that wonderful stamp: Dragonfly Dreams Friend Birthday by dcmauch at Splitcoaststampers
I changed the bg colors from gray to blues and, though I used a different image, I kept the dragonfly as the focal point. Her bg is subtle images of flowering tree branches, but I went with a grunge look.
I had so much fun creating this card. I started by smooshing the blue DOX on my glass mat and then stamping the dragonfly. I masked the dragonfly and went to town adding all the fun grunge/grid/mesh/bubble elements. As a nod to Deb's card, I stamped some of the elements in gray. Finished off with the sentiment in black.
Congratulations, Deb. I so enjoyed looking at all your wonderful cards, but especially those dragonflies. I do hope you enjoy your week and all the cards you have inspired. I hope everyone is enjoying their week and that you are letting your light shine brightly. TFL.

My dearest friend is a huge fan of dragonflies too - she even has a personal stamp for the back of her cards with a dragonfly on it. This is simply wonderful in the blue tones with the grunge bg. Great sentiment too.

Debbie this is so amazing, the subtle details just kept pulling me in. I think of a dear friend now gone who loved dragonflies and always marked her pottery with one. Good memories brought back with your art, so thank you!

Beautiful! Love the design, the colors, and the big bold dragonfly. The grid pattern, the smooshing, and the beautiful heartfelt sentiment, are all perfect...

A most beautiful card, Debbie. The depth of your layers is fantastic and a nice case of the original. I must admit I was thinking of the 'Matrix' with all those scrolling numbers over the dragon fly. Multiple finger scrolls up to catch all the elements you chose.
We have quite a lot of dragon flies in our garden and enjoy them so much.
