 | | This card was made for a sketch challenge which had the option of being inspired by two floral bouquet images.
I turned to the beautiful spring floral paper in the Stampin' Up! (SU) retired "Bird Ballad" Designer Series Paper (DSP). I chose three different flower clusters and die cut them using a SU stitched square die, then matted each with the next size larger die.
The background paper is from SU's retired "Forever Greenery" DSP. I wanted a slightly lighter green card base, so chose one from a Recollections Cardstock Paper Pad of assorted colors.
The challenge sketch had a thin horizontal stripe, so I chose the striped paper from the same set as my flowers. I specifically cut out the stripes that had the same colors as my floral clusters to add a bit more color to the otherwise predominately green theme I had adopted.
I am rating the difficulty level as a "2" out of a possible "5" because the gorgeous papers and and set of nested stitched dies. |
