The Gallery from this week's Featured Stamper, Lynn (aka starzlmom28 shines with beautiful cards, fun folds and some neat craft projects. This card reminded me of my CP stamps and that I needed a fun birthday card for a friend: Animal Outing by starzlmom28 at Splitcoaststampers.
I kept Lynn's African animals, some foliage and I used the word "wild" in my inside sentiment (which reads: Happy Birthday. I hope your celebration is Wild!). I changed the orientation to landscape; arranged the animals diagonally instead of vertically and change the colors.
I need a quirky card for a friend who is a UCLA grad and fanatic fan (blue and gold are school colors) and who loves Kauai (so I added the hisbicus). To make this card, I stamped the flowers onto the bottom of a piece of white cs. After coloring the flowers, I colored in the white space with my darkest green Copic. I colored and die cut the animals and their accessories. I cut another piece of white cs on the diagonal, glue the animals along the edge and popped it up with foam tape onto the floral piece. Finished with a single rhinestone in the zebra's flower.
Congratulations Lynn on being honored this week. I hope you enjoy your time in the spotlight and the cards you inspire. I found many cards in your Gallery that inspired me and I hope to get back later to CASE on of your wonderful butterfly cards. I hope everyone has a wonderful week and if your do get to party, I hope you have a wild time. TFL.
