This week we're having a Tea Party for Anne's husband, Jay. He turns 80 on Valentine's Day and Anne asked if we would help him celebrate. I'm hosting the challenge and I nearly stumped myself with the challenge to use Valentine's stamps to make a birthday card or birthday stamps to make a valentine. But I found this cute Valentine's peacock and combined to sentiments to make a "Happy Birthentine's Day" card. Jay was a math teacher and loves puzzles, so I included a puzzle page as a background. My uncle gave me a book of these fun puzzles. They're like crossword puzzles with numbers. You don't actually use zeros in the puzzles, but I filled an "80" in the puzzle. Have you ever tried these puzzles? I'm totally hooked.

Love the colors you used here -- very peacocky and fun. Love your Valentine peacock and how clever to design your own sentiment. That puzzle bg is great especially for puzzle loving Jay. I don't think it's surprising that a "numbers girl" like you would enjoy a numbers puzzle, but I'll stick to words. Fabulous card.

fabulous card... love the peacock. I have been using pages from old hymnals as background images, but never used one from other books. Clever ! Great card...

Yes, I have tried those, and while Sudoku is fine, I cannot figure these ones out. I'm more of a words person. I see you got some Franken-stamping in with the sentiment . Fabulous peacock!!

Love the sponged DOX colors on your crossword puzzle background! Your peacock is beautifully colored and presented so well with the scalloped circle layer.
