Using scraps from a paper pad with double-sided coordinating designs takes the guesswork out of matching colours for the herringbone technique. Did I mention how addictive this technique is? I had to stop after making several background panels and actually put a card together! The colours lent themselves to an Easter themed card so I added a tiny basket and die cut flowers and punched leaves from the pieces left over from the herringbone scraps. I taped the herringbone panel, after embossing it, to a matching piece of paper and adhered everything to a white base. The sentiment is also on the same paper and raised on foam tape.
