I didn't want to use white strips, and thought that DP would be harder to stamp and colour successfully on. So I used my failed attempt at a brayered ombre background for Beverly's challenge last week , I knew it would get used some time. I cut it into strips and wove, using a strip of low-tack tape along the top edge to hold the vertical strips in place. Stamped, and because I needed to bleach the blue out to colour my image, embossed with clear EP.
Bleached the image out and coloured it back in with watercolours. Added gold spatter and a simple sentiment. Trimmed the strip ends with a deckle scissors and popped up on some chipboard for dimension.
The base layer is a sort of champagne-coloured pearlescent card, embossed with SU's Subtle ef
