A simple one layer panel for today's F4A (yellow as the main color) and today's MIX (add another medium on top of a medium).
I follow a watercolor artist called Marena and she did a panel like this recently, so I gave it a go. Loose, not too mixed watercolors in yellows, oranges, pinks and a little teal. Much splattering with more colors, mostly metallics, and added a little salt before it was dry. Hard to see that because the colors are light, but it does add some texture. I might have added the salt a little late, it shouldn't be added when the paint is too wet, hard to time.
I used some new to me stamps, intended to heat emboss with clear but liked it matte. Used some chalk pastel pencils for the first time....LOVE THEM! I think I like them better than polychromos, more subtle. Also added some shading with a graphite pencil and tortillon. Added a few dots of green Stickles. The name of the stamp set is Comfort Zone...we all live in one, occasionally breaking out. Thanks for the challenges!

Beautiful! Did you use a fixative? That's my issue with pastels, so I rarely use the ones I have. You certainly got a lovely effect with yours. The graphite shading looks good. Lovely stamps.

So you masked off the areas for the water colored panels? This is a brilliant one-layer creation. I love the soft shade of yellow you painted and all the tiny splatters. The leaf stamps are just gorgeous!

Wow! Another stunning piece of art! I just love the watercolor blocking for your leaves. The shading you did under the leaves is beautiful! I need to see if I have any chalk pastel pencils!
