 | | This is my sample for the Color Challenge hosted by Karen. She selected the lovely combination of Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo, Soft Seafoam with scallops for the dessert option.
This ballerina bear needed a special card design to highlight her. I looked in the tutorials and found the Tent Topper Card design presented by Beate. The base is 4.25 by 4.25 inches and folded as a tent. The circle is added to the top so that the card is 5.25 inches and still fits in an A2 envelope. I loved the big bow that Beate used. I added a ribbon from my stash that is a close match to the Seafoam green.
I watercolored the bear's ballerina outfit with Flirty Flamingo and underneath the ruffles with Petal Pink. The flower garland has all three colors but it is so tiny, it is hard to see. I used neutrals to color the bear and stamp the sentiment. Wink of Stella was applied to the hearts and the garland, ruffles and top edge of slippers.
This is also for the Fan Club Monthly Theme: Tutus & Twirls. When I saw the theme, I thought of this stamp right away. Creative theme for first month of 2022!
