I began by colouring 3 - 4" x 5.1/4" panels of Distress Watercolor card by smooshing Spun Sugar Distress Oxide ink on to the craft mat on my Glass Media Mat, spritzed with water and laid the panels into the ink, dried and then tapped back in to pick up the remaining droplets, repeated until I was happy and dried.
I applied Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink through the second smallest heart stencil from Simon Says Hearts Stencils/Masks using a mini round blending tool, flicked on water with the stencil still in place on all 3 panels.
I stamped the sentiments from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Snarky Cats, images from Stitches and Media Marks 2, inked with Black Soot Distress Archival.
I die-cut Simon Says Big XOXO die 4 times from Distress Watercolor card and coloured with Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide inks using mini round blending tools to create an ombre effect and layered to create dimension.
I stamped the Snarky Cats images on Distress Watercolor card, inked with Black Soot Distress Archival, die-cut using the matching dies and coloured with Brushed Corduroy Distress ink using a mini round blending tool.
I fixed the XO to the panel using Distress Collage Medium, added the snarky cats, popped up on foam adhesive and added splatters of Brushed Corduroy Distress ink. I coloured the eyes with Spiced Marmalade Distress ink using a Distress Detailer Brush and added Glossy Accents to the noses. To finish I matted the panels on to A2 white card blanks covered with Distress Kraft HeavyStock.
