Karen is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and I'm still making Christmas cards, so this one will be non-traditional colors, which is unusual for me. The colors are Blushing Bride, Mint Macaron and Crumb Cake, and the dessert option is "bling."
This card is for my hair stylist. A 1-1/4" strip from the front is folded back to the inside of the card, creating a little pocket for a gift card, check or cash. The front is covered with a 4" square piece of unknown DS paper that's close in color to Crumb Cake or Soft Suede, on a Crumb Cake base card. The banner and gnome's hat are cut from Mint Macaron DS paper, and the gnome's robe and nose, as well as the strip on the right, are cut from Blushing Bride DS paper. This little gnome is easy to paper piece, and I used a couple of Copic markers to give definition to his beard. He's popped up on some foam tape. A few rhinestones for bling, and it was done!
If you're still making Christmas cards, try this pretty color combo and see what you can come up with! I'll look for your creation in the gallery!

Terrific! Love how you used the challenge colors. All your paper is fabulous; I especially like your choice for the gnome's hat. Wonderful design with the gift pocket. The sentiment sounds perfect for the recipient. Great card!

I'm falling in love with these colors for Christmas cards too and I love that you turned them into a holiday thank you. Your gnome is adorable and that unknown dp came in handy because it looks great for the bg. Folding back the edge for the gift card pocket is a great idea -- one I need to remember. Fav'd so I can CASE this. Wonderful card.
