I didn't get a chance to upload my card from yesterday's fun challenge. I love a good "use it" challenge. If you've ever been on a Zoom call with me, you may have seen my tote of old store-bought cards that I like to recycle. That's the biggest thing in my craft room that I need to "use up". Second would be stickers. I probably should have added stickers to my cards. I have found that my three favorite things to use when recycling old cards is this Honey Bee Stamps stitched scallop die, foam squares, and Stickles. Give me those three things and I can make magic. It didn't even take much work. This top card was a simple one layer card, but I die cut it with the scallop die, cut the stocking section out of it, then I die cut some gold metallic cardstock so I could layer the gold behind the stocking part. That section is popped up on foam squares even though you can't tell from the photo. Then I cut a little "Merry Christmas" out of the leftover scrap, framed that with gold, and popped that up too. For the finishing touch I added some Stickles to the snowflakes and the presents to make the card sparkle a bit more.

Great work upcycling, Jen. The dies sure make for great layers. Barb, who was a TPT destination a good while back always adds little extra touches like stickers and bling when she sends me store-bought cards.

I love to recycle cards that I feel are worth someone else receiving and finding joy as much as it gave to me. What a beautiful way to add a little more style to your card! I love what you've done~

Maybe there's a reason I have saved pretty much every Christmas card we've ever received. You've done a wonderful job of recycling this pretty image.

Great use of your old cards Jen and that is a wonderful die cut to use for them too. I have not added using up stickers from my collection yet as I am still trying to get through the mountain of tote items that seem to be never ending. I am so glad you added one of your use up cards to my challenge as I really have enjoyed the zoom calls where you talk about using them up.
