For her challenge, I pulled out this stamped card base which was some sort of failed fold. Having stamped both the back and front, I was reluctant to throw it out and it has been hanging round my desk ever since. Time to use it up. It was originally 1 1/2" deep, probably originally intended as a diorama, so I took it apart and trimmed it and reassembled it to be 3/4" deep. The bird (Serendipity Stamps), copper-embossed cage with Verdigris (Spellbinders) and ivy (Sue Wilson) were all pulled out of my oddments box, along with the pearl string. The K&Co border is extremely old. I added some pearls in among the ivy and a sentiment from Unity cut with a Spellbinders label and edged in gold.

All of the 'oddments' appearing in the gallery today are making for a pretty sweet tour through all the creations being posted. This is no exception. A wonderful 3D project!

Sabrina, your diorama is beautiful! TFS how you put it together and even the sources of the elements. The sentiment goes perfectly with the bird out of the cage.

I think it would be great fun to go through everyone's oddment boxes. What treasures there would be! This is a lovely 'save' Sabrina. I adore this type of dimensional card. Love that your little bird is outside of his cage!

We can all learn something just from the sentiment, Sabrina. No matter what we go through in life, we can choose to be positive. Your outer portion is beautiful all stamped in a delicate way and then inside has a most gorgeous scene! Lovely colors on the bird, the pearls are so pretty and the flowers give hope~
