Lemmy was my grandkitty and Lemmy belonged to my son Joe and daughter in law Leah. Lemmy was an orange kitty, named after the bass player for Motorhead, Ian 'Lemmy' Kilmister. Joe plays bass guitar. Lemmy Kilmister lead a hard-living life style and when he died, over 200,000 viewed his funeral on YouTube and many watched at a bar called The Rainbow.
Joe and Leah are devastated by Lemmy's death, caused by kidney issues. He was only 8. Joe told me today that he can tell that the house is quieter. You wouldn't think that would be so but they could hear Lemmy walking down the uncarpeted stairs. I now have had two orange male grand kitties who have died young. Orange kitties really are the best cats.
The inside of the card has an orange kitty and the words 'fur-ever friend.'

It is always so hard to say goodbye to our furry family members. Have had a lot of need for rainbow cards in the last year or so. This is lovely and goes into my favourites!

So sorry for your loss of your sweet grandkitty. We lost our darling black kitty last year and we think of her every day. Neither of us liked cats until she roamed into our yard and stole our hearts. The layered rainbow hearts on your card are perfect and I love the paw print background.

That is so sweet, Jean. The rainbow glitter is gorgeous. You don't need a cat stamp when you've got pawprints, I don't think.
The first Christmas after my sister took my dad's dog when he moved into a care home, I sent a card to my sister's dogs "from Curley" saying thank you for taking me in.
