I did not have a 4" embroidery hoop - but I do have an Embroider Hoop Bigz Die by Eileen Hull/Sizzix which just happened to include a circle 4" diameter!
So I cut out 4 of the hoops out of matboard and a piece of cardboard from the back of a paper pad - using the thickest matboard I had. I glued 4 circles together to make the 'hoop'.
Then I just followed her tutorial.
I cut some pieces off my holly bush, put them in a jelly jar filled with water and placed it inside my wreath.
thanks for the wonderful inspiration today Betty and enjoy your week in the FS gallery!

Of course, you would do one of the fun 3-D projects. This is very fun, Julia. So glad you made it intead of a card! Hugz

Beautiful centerpiece and I love your ingenuity using your dies instead of the hoops. A wonderful project you should enjoy for quite awhile. Your holly looks beautiful too!
