 | | Congrats to Betty (kittystamp's) for being our FS this week!
Her gallery is right up my alley - lots of crafties, which I love making.
I have made several of the things in her gallery in years past but today I was struck by her beautiful Christmas Wreath Centerpiece
You'll find her tutorial in the forum here.
I did not have a 4" embroidery hoop - but I do have an Embroider Hoop Bigz Die by Eileen Hull/Sizzix which just happened to include a circle 4" diameter!
So I cut out 4 of the hoops out of matboard and a piece of cardboard from the back of a paper pad - using the thickest matboard I had. I glued 4 circles together to make the 'hoop'.
Then I just followed her tutorial.
I cut some pieces off my holly bush, put them in a jelly jar filled with water and placed it inside my wreath.
thanks for the wonderful inspiration today Betty and enjoy your week in the FS gallery! |
