 | | I did double heat embossing for TLC855 although my second layer wasn't a stencil. Instead, I used an Old Inkadinkado About Face stamp that came with a solid image on one side of the wood block and and tree outline on the other. I heat embossed the solid image in white on a piece of handsome hunter card stock and then heat embossed the tree outline image in pewter on top of the white. (I couldn't be bothered with a stampamajig, so my alignment is a little off, but that's the beauty of hand-stamped cards, right?) I colored in the star with a silver sharpie marker and the ornaments with a real red journaler.
I used some scrap patterned paper for the image mat and the die cut the shell edge from another pattern in the same pack. I had the tag all stamped and layered in my scrap pile, so I just mounted it on dimensional foam to use as a closure for the shorter card front that I also found in my scrap pile.
Thanks for the challenge. It gave me a reason to finally use this stamp after years and years of sitting in my stamp stash and to use up a few items from my scrap pile. |
