I realize this might have been a better fit for the June challenge, but at least this is a peaceful scene. I wanted to try the black ice technique, and was originally going for a simple B/W/silver card highlighting the technique, but then my natural impulses took over and things got more involved. I made the panel per the SCS tutorial, then die cut 3 frames, dye colored them and glued them together and put clear embossing powder over the surface. Die cut the ovals, dye colored or did the black ice technique on the bottom 2 and put the 3 layers together along with die cut/dye colored/perfect pearl sprayed foliage and berries using glue and dimensionals. Added some rhinestones and then put more foliage and berries around the frame. Went around the edge of the card with Glimmer Kiss. Pretty happy overall, although would really like to try a simple version of this technique without all the embellishment. Also not at all happy with this âblackâ cardstock, which is really more of a grey/green/brown. Have to find something closer to true black. TFL!
