How very interesting is this weeks MMTPT. A color challenge, 'The Bride wore White'. Thank you, Linda (bubblestx4) and Sabrina (Cook22). Of course, I had to veer a bit. This card also fits with the IC813 Afloral. Julie (justwritedesigns) led us to a lovely floral (but not 'real') site with beautiful plants, flowers, and accoutrements. I was inspired by dried flowers for home decor. I loved the textured stone wall and the lil' bits of decor'. I tried to tuck in meaningful objects for a bride, an artist bride at that!
Does anyone remember 'Something Olde, Something New, Something Borrowed, and Something Blue? 4 good luck objects and a blessing. My new is the Woodware 'Art Palette' stamp. My old is the glass iridescent button from my grandmother. My borrowed is the stencil 'Be True'. And finally the blue are the vellum stars on the left sleeve.
I loved making this card...I will enjoy seeing how my fellow artists interpreted these two great challenges! Thanks for stopping by. If the little rhyme had you recalling what you did on your wedding, I'd love to hear. Did you have something blue tucked in your dress? The 'Pull' holds a secret message to the recipient!

Susan, you always have such fabulous elements in your art that always generates our minds to thinking. This is no exception and holds all the beauty and wonder. My first thought was that "white" personifies newness so well, like an artist with a clean sheet of paper or clean canvas, that can generate lots of newly imagined ideas that have not made it to their visual form yet. Thanks for bring your visions into light for us. Always a wonder to behold, my friend.

Don't you just love old buttons! I am trying to decide whether to change the button spacing on my current knit to two instead of three, to use some antique silver buttons from my stash. Love the shaped card, the art palette and I'm sure there is something fun tucked inside.
My wedding outfit was a light mint green.

This card is filled with hidden gems. I was enjoying that ultra tiny string of pearls at the neckline when my eyes drifted to the petite picot flowers at the waist. The glass button reminds me of the ones my
Grandmother sewed on my first Communion dress. (I felt so grown up and elegant) It wasn't until scan 5 or 6 that my eyes caught that incredibly adorable little heart button tucked into the artwork. Thanks for brining all these hidden gems to my challenge this week.

I agree with everyone else Susan. Every time I scroll up I find more yumminess on your card. It’s unique, it’s fantabulous and so creative. Fav’d. First time I wore cream and very simple; 2nd time I wore a silvery blue and embroidered bodice with a beautiful bouquet of blue, purple, white flowers. The 2nd time was just perfect and still is *wink*.
TFS. Happy weekend

Ever the rebel you created a beautiful and unique keepsake for whoever is the lucky recipient. I love the art palette and that amazing glass iridescent bottom...are those buttons or a trim? This is so sweet with all the memorable little treasures.
