Thank you, Anita, for this special pop-up fold challenge. I changed a few things-skipped the two small squares as I didn't want to take away from my watercolor moon, scored where the pop-up meets the square and the center panel so it would bend easier and adjusted the measurement of the triangle, it felt a little small to me (did 3 5/8"). I will make another with those little squares, now that I have the hang of it. The other thing I wish I had done was to put more adhesive in the center of the dp; it's very thin and it buckles a bit in the center...but no big deal. Live and learn! I've had this paper probably about 15 years. Very pretty swirly pattern
I used Maimari and Finetec watercolors. Could have gone darker, was a little afraid to add more so quit while I was ahead. I hadn't planned on used the dark blue Club Scrap paper at the time. I loved doing this WCW challenge. I think I will send this to daughter Liz; seems like her life has been one long, anxious 'phase'. She still has a lot going on, even though it's summer. Her girls have spent way too much time in close quarters the past 18 months and they are 'squirrelly' with each other. Because those 'twirly girls' are not vaccinated and the neighbors have had Covid on and off since early May, even more time together quarantining! Yikes!

Yes, it is just a phase. What a pretty moon/sky you created and I love the fold. I like all the phases of the moon on the pretty designer paper, too.

Perfect, in every way…don’t we artists tend to see things we ‘should have, could have’ done, when it is just unique and wonderful the way it ‘tis? And Liz will get each imagined part as it mirrors her life through this unprecedented journey! She is her mother’s daughter!
This is flipping fantastic and I broke my long standing rule of not peaking in the gallery before playing…
editing to add, love the comet trails…
