Two fun challenges to combine today! I needed a birthday card for a friend that has golden retrievers, so Jeanne's Dog Days challenge was perfect inspiration. And Polly's fun Reverse Stenciling challenge made a cool background for the pup. I'm impatient and I don't have gesso, so I dug through my background drawer for a pre-painted background (or two because I always make two cards). This is the better of the two backgrounds. I wasn't happy with the other one, so I die cut the word "relax" from it. I really like it as the word die cut. Another lesson in never throwing anything away. Which reminds me that the floor that the dog is lying on is a strip of watercolor paper that I used to soak up the ink from this week's Watercolor Wednesday.

Cute! That dog is awesome (oh it's a Mo's...love those)...and your relax from the leftover is perfect...I do that, too..use my rejects for sentiments or die cuts. Thanks for playing along Jen.

I love Mo Manning digitals and this one is so darn cute. She just captures the best facial expressions on her animals and especially on her child images. Great job with the stenciling technique too!
