This stamp image was given to me by kimilou about 13 years ago. I use it every May. Lily-of-the-Valley is my favorite flower and I am always thrilled when the patch outside my kitchen window blooms in mid-to-late May.
For starters I removed the rubber of this stamp from the wood block and adhered it to foam to use on the MISTI. All these years I've wasted paper when I didn't get a good first impression. NO MORE!
I used Versafine black ink to get a good image then used clear embossing powder and a fabulous heat gun to heat set the image. I used a few different green SU markers on a clear block with an aqua pen to make a watercolor looking image. It has been a long time since I've used this technique, it was fun. Not as relaxing as Crayola colored pencils!
