 | | This masculine thank you card was inspired by two different card challenges this week:
Just Add Ink #551 ( http://just-add-ink.blogspot.com/202...551add-3d.html ) which challenged us to make a 3D item - I chose to make a "tower card".
- and -
Cut It Up #224 ( http://cutitupchallenges.blogspot.co...ine-cards.html ) which challenged us to make a masculine card and include die cuts.
Last week's Splitcoaststampers featured technique was the "tower card" which you can find at: Tower Fold Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers It looks tricky, but the tutorial gives you step-by-step instructions as well as a video. The card has "valley & mountain" folds that allows it to be free standing, yet fit into a standard A2 envelope. Quite fun to make and decorate. I chose an undersea theme, but was sure to include several colors from the Stampin' Up! (SU) "Whale of a Time" designer series paper (DSP).
I am rating the difficulty level of this card as a "2" out of a possible "5" because the tutorial gives you all the measurements, and it is relatively easy to fold. The most fun is picking out the pattern papers to decorate all the panels... even the back of the card is decorated!!! |
