This was dubbed "Easy" Watercolor Sunset...hmm...this is my second try...didn't care for my first one. I really need to pick up a teeny tiny 2 hair brush to use for details like the grasses. Anyway....here it is...

You have created a beautiful scene, Polly. I love your sky and how you sun is setting over the water. Super mountains. It's a great job on the challenge. So happy you joined this week.

I think you did a gorgeous job! I love the deep colors! You mention you need to get a tiny hair brush but I think you did a wonderful job with the grasses! On my first try, I did the best with the grasses but with each of the following paintings, my grass became thicker and thicker! Shrug! (nice photo staging too!)

Beautiful scene and it definitely evokes a beautiful evening sunset. I think your grasses look great; but, I know how it is when you have one look in your head and something else shows up on the paper. Walk away and come back the next day. I think you will see that you did a fabulous job on them.

Beautiful and striking!!!!!! Really impressed with the reflection of the mountains. Black is not very forgiving with watercoloring. Happy you are enjoying these challenges. The gallery looks amazing with all the blues.
