 | | Thank you, Jean for a fresh TLC this week. It was not one I had encountered before and seemed easy enough! Great speedy tutorial, Dina.
I can't say exactly why I didn't choose a stencil that was uniform across the whole area, but this one is what spoke to me as I looked through my stencils. I followed Dina's instructions to the letter. Next time I will tape the bottom as well.
The stained glass window took the colors and spritzing wonderfully, the 'healthy' bird on the windowsill didn't take the definition so well. He looks more like a penguin! I did remount the stencil and used the VersaMagic chalk ink on the bird to make it stand out more.
I added a tiny floral border from a retired BG 'Persimmon' print and the lovely sentiment:
Hope is the thing with feathers
that perches in the soul
And sings the tunes
without the words
And never stops-at all.
I am also including this in the CAS challenge this week, Lisa has asked us to create a card with a Silhouette. Well, someone help me, but I feel this is a silhouette, though not in traditional black.
Thanks for your comments. I can't wait to see the galleries and see what you've created! |
