This card was made for a sketch challenge that had an optional theme of "pastels".
I first envisioned a tree canopy for the oval shape in the challenge, but it just didn't work out. When I started thinking about what other "oval" stamps I had, I right away thought of the lovely succulent cluster in the Stampin' Up! (SU) "Simply Succulent" stamp bundle that includes some really nice dies. I chose the cluster of several different succulents. After stamping it in black, I hand colored using the Copic Marker colors listed below. After coloring, I die cut the cluster out.
The rest of the card is pretty straightforward since I followed the sketch (but turned it 90 degrees). The required banner is SU Mint Macaron, the light green panel is Soft Sea Foam. The background is Flirty Flamingo.
I finished the card off by stamping the sentiment from the same stamp set using SU Flirty Flamingo ink. It was die cut using one of the three stitched label dies from the succulent dies.
I am rating the difficulty level of this card as a "2" out of a possible "5" due to the need to hand color the image.
The card is generic enough that you could use it as for birthday, thank you, or to just send to a friend to let them know you are thinking of them.
