Our TeaParty cards this week are going to a fellow TeaPotter, Vickie Y. Polly (peeps321), our hostess has asked us to think pink, flowers, Asian, butterflies, and gnomes...how could you not be cheered by pink, flowers and lovely women?
The Sketch Challenge 848 was fresh and played perfectly into my idea. Thank you Cathy!
I knew immediately I'd use 'Fuji Goddess' by Stampington & Co. She's so serene and beautiful. I stamped her with VersaFine 'Onyx Black' on Mixed Media paper. I clear embossed just the flower buds in her hair and colored with three shades of Copics.
The rice paper panel is an ancient Art Supply store speciality paper. I confess to hoarding this lovely paper. For the third horizontal panel, I decided to use Stamp Francisco's Hanging Lanterns. I used multiple embossing powers, Copic Markers and Gelatos to add dimension. Finished by weaving a gold braid through the lanterns.
The sentiment is from a PSX set.
Wishing you a peaceful day, no matter what comes your way!

Very pretty Asian themed card and the sentiment is perfect. The embossed lanterns on the gold braid strung across the top give it a nice, festive look.

I love what you did with the sketch...so creative...that top layer is perfect! And I've always loved that Stampington image...just coloring in the buds was genius! And of course the Asian paper is so pretty and works well as the bottom layer. WOW!!

Isn't it lovely, regardless of the reason, that you have a bit more time to create!? I sure am enjoying the outcomes. Stampington!!!!! I have a few of those stamps....especially Christmas. She is lovely, love your extra touches, that top piece is a beauty!

This is a beautiful turn of the sketch so you had a little more width to the three panels. And did you ever take advantage of that space. Each panel has a story in itself! Gorgeous!

Wow! What a fabulous piece of art. I love your embossed lanterns...so much texture. The lady is beautiful and the paper at the bottom is beautifully Asian. This will surely be loved by the recipient. Thanks for your comment to "this girl" on my lavender card....it really helped.

Beautifully done, Susan - That sentiment is just so perfect with your serene Asian woman. The black & white treatment of that panel with just the hint of pink really draws the eye.
