Hello friends â¥ï¸ What a beautiful week so far. Its a little gloomy BUT...rain brings flowers, grass and leaves so Iâm good with it lol.
I stepped outside of my comfort zone and make a insect card. I do like to look at honey bees...they are fascinating to watch....but like most people I can admire them from a far. I think Iâm more cautious of those flesh munching, softball welt leaving mud wasps. They have bit and sting me at the same time ...little crappers. Lol I do have to say that that day I was running around my yard like a crazy, arm flailing lunatic. Oh how it burned. Lol
Anyways..back to the bee card. I first used the embossing folder...because I liked it lol. I just bought it and figured it would be a great way to start a card. Then I inked the paper up with yellow ink. I used Ginaâs frame scalloped die. I just received the Whit kit dps today so I was like...dang arent i lucky ...it works perfectly with what I was making. I sat for a moment than went with a fleeting thought of a shaker card. I took the circle die and acetate to make the shaker. I found the scalloped circle die while digging through my drawer looking for a different die lol. Funny how things happen like that. Next I die cut the bees and sentiment. The bees have 3 layers. 1 black, 1 white and 1 Vellum. I arranged everything and glued it down. I placed the ribbon on and then started to place the black Nuvo drops. I donât know what happens to my drops but when I was trying to squeeze it out I could swear the person that filled that bottle must of had a cat that rolled in the liquid before putting in my bottle. It was soooo stringy Iâm pretty sure I heard it meowing at me. Lol
Well ...after 30 minutes of working with the drops...this is what I came up with. I hope you all had a better time with your creations. They are looking marvelous from what Ive seen so far.
God bless you all and stay safe.

I love shaker cards and yours is so Beautiful, Kari! Pretty dp and so much texture like everywhere! Love this honey bee card & your beautiful bow too!
* We have honey bees on our property, several houses of them actually. They are quite docile, unless you bother them. When I cut the grass on the opening side, I do need to wait till about 30 minutes before dusk because if you ever watch them, it looks like a runway seeing them come and go. Lol

Your story is as much fun as your card! I love the black nuvo drops on the sentiment. If you got them on there you did very well from the sound of what you were working with. The entire card is so inviting.
