 | | I made this card for our end-of-the-month "Tickle a Teapotter" Challenge: "Browner Side of the Fence" by Denise, CardCrazy. She suggested: "Today is for taking stock in things you do have, whether it be a roof over your head, a family, a job, or something else. Celebrate the day by making a card of something that is "green" on your side of the fence." March 30th is âGrass is Always Browner on the Other Side of the Fence Day." I had never heard of that!
I wanted to use my dancer stamps and the great sentiment, "Life may not be the party we had hope for but while we're here we might as well dance." I think it is so appropriate for the times we're living in.
I stamped my dancer and die cut her out, adding green ink to the edges of the image to make her stand out. I stamped some green and added the sentiment, fussy cutting it out. I die cut my tree out of patterned paper. I used a music background to stamp the front of the card using Olive green. I glued down the tree on my music bg and used 3D pop dots to add the dancer and sentiment.
Denise, thanks for a wonderful challenge! I'm so grateful that I can still dance no matter what, no matter where. My husband may disagree with the statement that I can dance! LOL However, just like singing, I don't care how I look or what I sound like...it's all about the joy I find in doing it! |
