Well, what a wonderful duo of challenges from our Monday hostesses! Thank you both Karen and Jen.
The TLC this week is Sanded Embossing. The Clean and Simple is Sea Creatures.
Karen challenged us to search through our stash to find a background that had been painted and was suitable to be dry embossed and sanded. Well...I found this background already painted and embossed with this fantastic seaside collage. I have no recall how it was created...only that I did something awhile back!!! I fussy cut the edges and then took two nail emery boards to the embossed areas.
I added one of my mermaids directly to the collage. She was stamped with 'Olympia Green'. I used a pale lavender mat. Being a thrifty gal, I always die cut a panel from under my mats...cut this one a little short, hence the perfect 'hole' for my ribbon trim!!!
The base is a vintage shimmer cream.
I love working out of my comfort zone...thank you Karen for your encouragement. And Jen, thank you for the Sea Creatures...always love being oceanside.
Thanks for strolling along the shore...

I lpve how you rolled these two challenges together today, Susan. The embossing is awesome and love the images and texture you added with the ribbon trim. I love that it has a fish tail look to it being tied into a fish shaded hole. I love how creative you got when you inside panel left the extra space.

This is such a cool design. Now I'm going to have to check into the technique to figure out how you got this creative result. I love your dreamy images and colors.
