Today's Tea Party is for mother and daughter, Dee and Carol in Wisconsin. Dee recently turned 99 and Carol is having serious health issues. We are sending them paper hugs at a time when they are not able to be together. Snietje is our hostess and she has challenged us to make black and white cards with a pop of color inspired by the holiday window displays that Dee has been painting every year for the past 50 years. Oh my gosh. They are amazing! It was so fun to watch the video slideshow of all of her amazing creations. It was so fun to see how her art evolved over the years and mindblowing to think that she was painting these well into her 90s! It made me think of how my watercoloring has evolved over the last year with the Watercolor Wednesday challenge. So I was inspired to watercolor a black and white scene and add skating critters for my pop of color. I made sure to make it a moonlit scene for Shelly's VSN Challenge. Since I always make two cards, I am all set for sending one to Dee and one to Carol. I hope they enjoy their cards and can see how Dee inspired them.

Wow, your watercoloring skills are really evolving. Great scene you created. Love the concept of skating in the moonlight and your stickles make it look like the moonlight is making the whole scene shimmer with delight. Wonderful cards for Dee and Carol.

I knew this must be yours even before I scrolled down and saw your name. You create such wonderful scenes, Jen. Your watercoloured night background is absolutely fantastic. It evokes such a peaceful feeling.
