So, this happens to be rose #56006 hahaha... I think it started out a little more like rose #2 in the video and then the leaves are a little more like the ones in rose #1. I finally had to stop watching the video and just do this without watching her hands because, I just could not manipulate the brush the same way so, I ended up after a while using a shot on my instagram account( of which I have removed the link to it as someone thought it would be a good idea to try to hack that account and sign in as me ha ha NOT.) of some "blue" roses I have in my garden ( they are really old from when Harry and Davids had their Jackson Perkins line.) and funny true story these roses are a bright eye popping PINK when they are buds. they fade out to a lavender-ish pale pale purple as time goes by and they open. Thanks for this challenge Linda & tfl.

Beautiful card with the lavender rose(there is a hybrid tea rose variety called Sterling Silver which has a lavender look). You did a great job with the given watercolor rose technique, Stacy.

Oh, Stacy, this is beautiful and the color is just wonderful. You know, sometimes after I watch the video, I think I do better doing it by turning away from the screen, too. Then, other times, I have to keep a good eye on the video. I couldn't see your roses on Instagram, either....not a memeber. But, I know they are gorgeous and how strange that they change from pink to blue.

You had to smile when you finished this gorgeous rose.....love it Stacy. What a beautiful color for a rose. I did have a lavender rose years ago, but it didn't change color. Happy you joined us for the challenge this week and gave us this beauty.
Wow!!!!! Stacy, this is so stunning. I love that you kept it very CAS so that our eye is completely drawn to your beautiful painting! The framing is beautiful! I saw a picture of your roses over on Challenge Chat; I think it's fabulous that you took the time to practice. You will always be able to whip out a rose now!
