I was really inspired by a Vera Bradley pattern that had bright colors on a dark background. I chose Night of Navy as a background, with lots of great Brights for the whales. I punched out the whales in various colors but then it took me a while to come up with an arrangement I was happy with. I let some hang over the edge then trimmed them up to create a nice pattern.

I love bright colors against a dark BG, too. I even noticed a pretty pattern worn by an actress on a show I’ve been watching. This is such a unique idea!
