I fell in love with a wonderful card by lamoore and ran right off and bought the stamp, Lucky for me it arrived in last's night mail, just in time for this challenge. I hope this is considered CAS -- it has a lot of color, but it is a simple one layer card. And, here's lamoore's beautiful card: Journey On by lamoore at Splitcoaststampers
I created the bg by letting the ink drip down the glossy cardstock on it's own, helped along with the blending solution. After it dried I stamped the image using Versafine Black. Since I knew this ink would not dry on an AI bg, I embossed with clear ep. I had already stamped this on another panel with Lawn Fawn Jet Black, which I thought would dry, but for some reason it didn't and I smeared black all over the card, On both cards, I could not get a clear solid image of the stamp, but I actually like how it swirls and a bit of the color shows through so I went with it. I stamped the sentiment with Versamark and heat embossed with the white. On the first card I had the sentiment lower and thought it would look better higher up on the hill. After I did that, I think I like it better lower down. Next time.
Pictures of the African landscape with its magnificent creatures always fill me with a bit of awe. I hope you find a bit of awe today too. TFL.

I really love this design sooo much. Misti had a somewhat similar card so I'm happy to see another that shows the glorious lion in his natural habitat.

I like the analogous color scheme on the background - it gives that otherworldly effect... I really love how the black ink 'swirled' - it adds a lot of texture and interest (way better than a smooth silhouette), so the 'ground' has that roughness of the African savanna, and the lions have that furry feel. Stellar work, Debbie!
