I have been reorganizing Artzadoni Studio and shifting things around so that I work smarter and start using supplies that get neglected. I started with a copy-paper weight, absorbent sheet of Bibulous paper. It's purpose is for "drying slides in bacterial, pathological and biological laboratories." I colored the embossed border by rubbing with an ancient set of SKETCHO oil pastels that were my Mom's. The graphics on the box are coral pink & black and look like they're from the 50's. So cool. I also used a "Putty Stik" meant for filling in dings in one's furniture. Also a relic. Before embossing again, I inked, brayer blended sunset colors of Oxides onto the EF panel, and sprayed a little water and droplets on it before cranking. Stamped the lion, embossed the sentiment, and stippled some dots around His Majesty. This card would have looked more clean and simple without this step but I couldn't resist adding to the resist. Tore the top layer, partially embossed the border layer and mounted on white CS. Sounds complex, but really was simple.

so funny, I have a jar of putty sticks in my laundry room. and I have not ever thought of this. ( I have heard of people using up old face paints on paper though) I love that you did the perspective of him peeking through the foliage too

Gorgeous card, Lori. I adore this Lion image and love how you framed him in the ef. Perfect sentiment too. Wonderful colors -- like an African sunset. Fabulous job.
