 | | For Ky's Spring Pops MIXed media challenge. Another stamp in my "want to use" pile, so while the Stickles dried on my first card I made this quick one. I used a square media plate and brayered it with tumbled glass, mowed lawn and salty ocean, then printed it onto my white card. I then brayered over it with white acrylic, laid a brick wall stencil on top and took a print to remove the visible paint, then printed again over my original. Stamped the spatter from French Foliage onto the plate with chipped sapphire and printed onto the original.
When it was dry I stamped Garden Collage over it. Cut it with the fancy squares, tried it on about 6 different gel prints and decided it looked best on plain white - and since it has distress inks and acrylics I've minimally CASly covered the MIXed media base. Added a birthday sentiment and called it done. I thought about adding a hint of colour to the butterfly and flower, but I think it might spoil it - there's lovely texture in it from the repeated prints and that's enough. |
