I had already made some DOx backgrounds, dry embossed, direct to paper with the twilight ink and then fussy cut, so I thought I'd use one for today's sketch and yesterday's tea party for Kristin.
I used the same ef for all the dry embossing. I was inspired by a Natasha Foote video where she did the technique with cutting around an ef.
I can't imagine how Kristin is handling this difficult situation. One of my biggest fears is losing the sight in my good eye. I was born with very little sight in my right eye and I have no idea what it's like to use both eyes. I have a tiny bit of forward vision, some peripheral and, even with glasses, my right eye is pretty useless. I often feel like a cyclops. She will have to deal with the lack of peripheral vision on that side, will probably bump into things for a while. I've never known any different, but I've been told it's a huge adjustment. If this card is not appropriate for her, please tell me. It's a little dramatic and I don't have any idea of her age, although I sense that she is young. i wasn't sure what to do for her.
Sonja as usual has made things interesting with her fold/sketch. I can do this fold!!!!!!

It's a beautiful card and an inspiring sentiment. Love the shades of purples and pinks and all the embossing. I would think she would find this card as beautiful and inspiring as I do; but, then, I don't know her either.
I have the use of both eyes, but my depth perception stinks. I bump into things all the time and I carried perpetual bruises on both thighs desk top level my entire career. Another benefit of retirement. LOL

Jean, this is so beautiful and creative as well! Kristin is 27- I think this card will definitely bring a smile to her face! Thanks so much for creating a card for her!

Oh, cool. I love the cutaway effect with the ef, and the rich colours are beautiful.
DH is the same as you, almost no vision in one eye. And yet I can't get him to go to the optician for a glaucoma check-up. Well, he's finally conceded that he will after things get back to normal.

Your card is great Jean and I love the monochromatic and pretty embossing, love the cutaway look too, sure Kristin will love this pretty card, and my DH doesn't see anything with his left eye since a couple of years now, he still hurts himself but he get's used to it

Very nice. I love the colors you used and how you used them.
