I had already made some DOx backgrounds, dry embossed, direct to paper with the twilight ink and then fussy cut, so I thought I'd use one for today's sketch and yesterday's tea party for Kristin.
I used the same ef for all the dry embossing. I was inspired by a Natasha Foote video where she did the technique with cutting around an ef.
I can't imagine how Kristin is handling this difficult situation. One of my biggest fears is losing the sight in my good eye. I was born with very little sight in my right eye and I have no idea what it's like to use both eyes. I have a tiny bit of forward vision, some peripheral and, even with glasses, my right eye is pretty useless. I often feel like a cyclops. She will have to deal with the lack of peripheral vision on that side, will probably bump into things for a while. I've never known any different, but I've been told it's a huge adjustment. If this card is not appropriate for her, please tell me. It's a little dramatic and I don't have any idea of her age, although I sense that she is young. i wasn't sure what to do for her.
Sonja as usual has made things interesting with her fold/sketch. I can do this fold!!!!!!

Jean, this is so magical! I absolutely LOVE this saying! Speaks volumns to me this week - and the embossing and bright purple are just stunning! Instant fave!

Gorgeous colors. Love the cut-away and how different all the layers look even though it is the same embossing folder. Beautiful synchrony. So glad you were able to DO this fold--{folding is a visual spatial skill so we can blame it on your eye}!

Oh, this is delish! Love the richness and all the textures, Jean! I am never sure really about the tastes of the teapotters recipients, but I am betting she will love this! It really looks awesome! I had no idea about your vision issues, when you turn out such great cards.
