I am excited to say that Jen Guarino is this week's Featured Stamper!
I had a lovely time looking through her gallery. I ended up picking the first card I picked - the Let it Snow! Card she made for this month's Dirty Dozen theme.
I kept her fun red background. She used a stencil and colored cardstock, but I changed it up to a painted background. After I painted the cardstock with acrylic paint, then I used the polka dot background stamp from DRS to add some fun.
I loved the texture on her tag so I added some crackle medium with a pallet knife and sponged on some SU! temping turquoise. The glaze she used is cool (I may have to get some). I stamped the DRS Script Font background and Snowflake background as well, but the texture medium absorbed some of it (how fun is that because I thought I had done too much).
I also kept her snowman/snow theme but changed the image and the sentiment.
Jen, I was very inspired by your card. Enjoy your week!

O.K., Nancy, you know I adore this card with two things I love....a snowman and polka dots. Love your textured tag and it is just a super duper creation.

Nancy, this is so adorable. I am crazy about snowmen. You created such a creative snowy background tag with your acrylic paint and I love polka dot background you stamped on the card base.

Nancy!! This is fantastic. I absolutely love what you did on your card by using some many different mediums. I am honored to be the TFS this week.

I always forget how nice a tag looks on the front of a card. This snowman wow's me! I love how its set at an angle for interest and the texturing is terrific....hmmm...you're giving me some ideas....!!
