I am excited to say that Jen Guarino is this week's Featured Stamper!
I had a lovely time looking through her gallery. I ended up picking the first card I picked - the Let it Snow! Card she made for this month's Dirty Dozen theme.
I kept her fun red background. She used a stencil and colored cardstock, but I changed it up to a painted background. After I painted the cardstock with acrylic paint, then I used the polka dot background stamp from DRS to add some fun.
I loved the texture on her tag so I added some crackle medium with a pallet knife and sponged on some SU! temping turquoise. The glaze she used is cool (I may have to get some). I stamped the DRS Script Font background and Snowflake background as well, but the texture medium absorbed some of it (how fun is that because I thought I had done too much).
I also kept her snowman/snow theme but changed the image and the sentiment.
Jen, I was very inspired by your card. Enjoy your week!

What a fun snowman and so beautifully painted...love the highlights in his hat! Then, you've turned this cute little guy into an artsy and wonderful Christmas card with that marvelous BG, ribbon, and tag!
