This card is for Lisa's Ways to Use It Challenge. Check out the challenge Here. Come and join in and find ways on how you can use up your supplies.
I have lots of brads...yep lots...I am a scrapbooker (or was until a few months ago) and brads was something I used to use a lot. So I ask myself why I still have lots and lots of containers full of pretty colours and sizes LOL. Lisa's challenge was perfect to use up a few of them.
I plucked a BG out of my stash that I had painted a couple of weeks ago as well as a gelli print that I had coloured and embossed with butterflies that didn't come out great. I keep these "mistakes" just in case I can rescue them or use them with die cuts.
I stamped one of my old CTMH stamp sets on top of the gelli print as well as on the green BG. The gelli print was die cut. I have lots of dies too and don't use those enough....and EF's....and and and. I'm sure we all know that story. That is why the Ways to Use It Challenges are great for helping you to use up your stash.
Back to my card.....Unfortunately I don't have much patience when creating and probably why I'm a messy stamper. It was a hot day here when I made this and after I'd stamped my images I found that a few of them had smudged. Doh doh doh! I also didn't have time or motivation to start again, so I did what I usually do and rescued my card.
Brads are covering up a few blotches and I should have stopped there, but that wouldn't be me. I used my zigs to go over the sentiment as that didn't stamp well, even after using my Misti. It was starting to become one of those Monday's LOL.
I decided to use my zigs on other images and was starting to make my card worse so what do I do when my blotches need help, I bring out my stickles.
This may be messy to some but I like to think that this is an example of thinking outside the box and using supplies you have on hand to "rescue" a project. This may end up in the bin but the main thing is that it shows how brads can be used which is the main purpose of today's challenge.
So get out your brads, come and play in Lisa's challenge and if you make a mistake, it doesn't matter. Just have fun.
TFL. Happy day

Ooh, great combination of brads here, I love that you mixed stars and flowers together along with the "normal" ones. I love that circle with the butterflies on it.
Not sure what the CP inks are, but in my experience almost anything except StazOn, which I don't have much of, and Ranger Archival, tend to smudge on paint backgrounds, so if I'm not using those (and even the Archival needs a few moments to dry) I make sure to emboss. Or rescue .

Love this super fun card. It reminds me of a casino with that big circle. I initially thought it was one until I got a closer look. Those are some super brads too.
