Wondering why I'm posting an exploding handbag (see SCS tutorials) in a "beverage challenge"?
Guess what the flowers are made from- coffee filters! I find creating these spiral flowers using coffee filters so easy as the material is soft enough to manipulate and strong enough that it doesn't tear. I can cut several at a time and make them up, in different sizes as I have graduating sizes, and keep them in my stash for just the right project, such as decorating a beautiful little purse.

I'm sorry I missed this - the gallery keywords weren't working for a few weeks and I was relying on links posted on the challenge thread - I hope I didn't overlook yours. The coffee filters sound like a super idea for spiral flowers - less bulky than felt, more flexible than paper.
