Julie chose DebbieInOC as our featured stamper this week. Debbie, you leave such encouraging comments on our galleries âe¦. it's a joy to peruse your gallery and be inspired by your creativity! Here is your card that inspired me:
I also featured a bird as my main image but chose to use a die-cut bird. I changed the layout and sentiment treatment. Using tropical foliage stamps I stamped one panel and used the Buffalo Check background stamp to stamp the second panel

I love leaves and your tropical leaf stamping as well as the buffalo plaid make the perfect bg for this guy. What a great die cut. I love the woodgrain behind the bird too. I'm glad you stamped on the second circle frame instead of leaving that plain. It's the small details like that that takes a card from good to great, and I think your card is GREAT.
I love that you combined it with the IC challenge, I'm kind of floating on air here having my card combined with a Tim Holtz inspiration. What an honor. And thanks for the inspiration -- I have been raking my brain for a bday card for a friend in Hawaii and I think those tropical leaves will be just the ticket.
