 | | I'm trying to get more valentines made than usual this year. They just don't come naturally to me. But I'm very happy with this one. I was inspired by this card. Mainly because orange and pink is my favorite color combo (the colors of my wedding!) and I was still thinking about favorite color combos from yesterday's Free for All Challenge. When I searched my Evernote database for Valentine, this was the newest entry. An adorable Penny Black stamp that came in my last order from Ellen Hutson. After I colored it up, I went looking for hearts to stamp on my background and realized the woodgrain heart from I Heart Hearts would go great with it. So I stamped and embossed all the hearts and did a quick orange and pink ink blend and splatter. The Penny Black set comes with the sentiments "To my special" and "Friend". I decided to go with "Valentine". I popped up the image and sentiment on foam squares, but felt like he was floating in space, so I added a "grounding element". I had no idea that I needed that die, but I do.
